EMT Training in Maine

EMT training in Maine teaches students how to manage trauma cases and provide life-saving services to patients. In Maine, this training is approved by Maine Emergency Medical Services. However, it is important for students to avail the training from well- reputed and state-approved training centers. Eligibility Criteria


In order to pursue EMT training in Maine, students must fulfil the following pre-requisites:

  • It is mandatory to maintain a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) during the training.

  • In Maine, negative reports of flu shot, chest X-ray and tuberculosis tests, done within the past 12 months, are a must to be submitted by the students.

There are four levels of EMT training in Maine, which are as follows:

EMT First Responder Program

Students pursuing this level of training learn the basic ways of taking care of patients in the emergency cases. EMT-Basic Program

EMT-Paramedic Program
