EMT Exams in Idaho
EMT exams in Idaho are held in order to produce skilled technicians, who can effectively and efficiently manage the cases of accidents, injury, trauma, or any other emergency incidents. Components of the EMT Exams
Cognitive Exam

Registration and Scheduling for the EMT Exam
Before applying for the national certification and state licensure, it’s mandatory to take the NREMT exams and clear both (psychomotor and cognitive) sections of the test. Whenever you want to appear for the exams, you can notify the authorities regarding the same.
When the authorities find you suitable to sit for the EMT tests, they will send you an eligibility postcard notifying you to register and schedule the examination.

Registration and Scheduling via Standard Mail
If you are the one, who do not want to divulge your credit card information to anyone, then standard mail is the perfect method of registration for you. This method accepts only cashier’s check or money order for paying your exam fees. You are required to appropriately fill up the registration form found in the local bulletin, and make the payment through any of the above mentioned options. Internet Registration and Scheduling

Telephone Registration and Scheduling
It is the second fastest mode for registering for the EMT exams. For this registration as well, you must own a legitimate Master/Visa card, and need to tell the details of your credit card. One of the benefits of the telephone registration is that you can also register after the business hours get over. It uses the Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) to accomplish registration during the non-business hours.
Fax Registration and Scheduling
It is yet another method of getting yourself registered for the test. For doing registration via fax, you are ought to hold a valid Master/Visa card, and submit its details. While registering and scheduling through this method, keep in mind that any incorrect information will make the authorities send you back the form for the rectifications, which might delay the other processes.
Cancellation and Rescheduling of the Exams
If the candidate does not want to appear for the examination on the given appointment, he/she can cancel it by serving prior notice. The authorities should be notified about the cancellation of the test at least two days before the scheduled date. For instance, if the scheduled date of your exam is Monday, you are supposed to notify by Saturday. If you don’t follow this rule, you will not be considered eligible to get a refund of the deposited fees.

Reporting to the Examination Site
If you reach at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam, it will give you enough time to complete the sign-in process, and at the same time, allows you to locate your room easily and get acquainted with the environment.
It is imperative for all the applicants to put forward at least 2 forms of ID proofs in front of the authorities to get through the sign-in process. One of these two ID proofs must be government issued, like the state ID, passport, driving license, etc. Besides, it should also have your recent photograph and signature on it to validate your identity.

Note- Don’t present student ID cards or employment cards as the evidence of your identity, as it will not validate your entry into the exam center.
Exam Results
All the EMT students are treated on the equal grounds when it comes to result assessment. 80% marks are required to qualify the exam. Grades of all the candidates are reviewed statistically to ensure the accuracy of the results.
The exam results are published and can be viewed on a website that is entirely password protected. It means that only the candidate can view his/her scores by entering his date of birth and social security number that was assigned to him/her at the time of registration.
In no case, the result of the candidate will be sent via the mail, or narrated over the phone, or even handed over in person. All those, who want to have a hard copy of their results, may take a printout of the result.
The aspirants are supposed to clear the EMT exams in Idaho within the given 6 attempts. After the 3 unsuccessful attempts, candidates are required to present an official document that states the completion of the remedial program of 24 hours. After that, they are provided three additional attempts to crack the test. However, if the candidate fails to clear the exams even after 6 repeated attempts, he/she is required to undergo the whole program program, all over again.

- Always solve virtual test papers before the main exams, as they help you in knowing your strengths and weaknesses. After solving the virtual paper, you can pay more attention to those areas where you are lagging behind.
