EMT Program in Michigan
In order to become Emergency Medical Technician, students must pursue EMT program in Michigan from a state-approved program institute. This program makes it easy for the aspirants to clear the NREMT exams in one go. EMT or paramedic program is the stepping stone for prospective EMTs towards a bright career. Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum age of 18 years is compulsory for a student if he/she wants to take up an EMT program in Michigan.
- He/she must own a valid driving license.
- Students must ensure that they have a CPR/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification maintained throughout the entire duration of EMT program.
- Prospective students must submit their high school certificate or GED certificate. Sometimes, they can also be asked to submit their score-cards of COMPASS or ACCUPLACER exams, which examine their proficiency in maths and English.
- A drug test is mandatory, and candidates should also undergo a check on criminal background.
- Students applying for EMT program must provide their vaccination proofs of measles, diphtheria, tetanus, mumps, chickenpox, rubella, pertussis and hepatitis B. Students should also provide the negative reports of tuberculosis test, chest X-ray along with flu shot, done in the past one year.

Medical First Responder

Students are also required to complete clinical program either in an ambulance service or at a nearby hospital.
EMT-Paramedic

- Ways that are more comprehensive in handling patient assessment
- Pharmacology
- Advanced cardiovascular treatment

- Advanced cardiac life support certification
